The Journey is the largest project for La Bangu. It consists of:
1. The The Crash Course in Lojban
- It's a continuation of La Gleki's introduction to Lojban but it also uses appropriate parts of L4B, Wave lessons and CLL as well as different insights from IRC residents and textbooks on other languages.
- It tries not to use Lojbanic terminology much. It explains most Lojbanic terms in ordinary language (e.g. tanru are compound verbs etc.)
- It is to be written in native languages of learners. The first edition is to be written in English.
- Examples of its parts: "Lojban as a simple language for everyday use", "Lojban compared to specific features in other languages", "Lojban for logicians", "Math in Lojban"
- It has a small dictionary as an addendum that gives examples to every basic brivla and cmavo. Some lass used cmavo and gismu are not included.
1.2. "Speak Lojban!" course
Primarily a phrasebook.
2. Lojban in slides
Somewhat an superfluous to 1. However, most people usually prefer to change from one textbook to another. That's why we provide this alternative.
3. Interactive stuff
- Audio recordings
- Audio applications ala Flash apps (but on HTML5) showing the pronounciation of Lojban sounds
- Video introductions
4. La Bangu: dictionary
5. La Bangu: stories in La Bangu
Different texts for beginners
6. ELG
The full reference grammar. It is an optional part, it is not to be included into all published editions. And the goal is that it is to be written in Lojban.
7. Test of Lojban as a Second Language
An exam that is to be developed
8. Syntactic parser
Auxiliary resources
- How to improve your Lojban
- La Alta, a project that is less backward compatible with the standard Lojban
