mi vizykla
We are arrived.

The first spoken Lojban And Rosta ever heard:

  • And (answering phone):
    • Hello?
  • Nick:
    • mi vizykla
  • And:
    • (thinks: What the fuck??)

The story as told by And sooner after it occurred, in a discussion of the Glasgow Conversation:

  • When Nick phoned me up when he arrived the first thing he said was i vizykla and I thought he was speaking Klingon - the last syllable was klah, and I wasn't expecting i, and hands up everyone who doesn't know the rafsi for vi.
  • So it looks like the comment has morphed over the years. Nick, any recollection?
    • Nope, although it sounds like the kind of thing I'd do. I remember it being dark, and I'm pretty sure that's all the Lojban I uttered...
