"We are arrived."

First spoken Lojban And Rosta ever heard:

And (answering phone): Hello?

Nick: mi vizykla

And: (thinks: What the fuck??)

The story as told by And sooner after it occurred, in a discussion of the Glasgow Conversation:

When Nick phoned me up when he arrived the first thing he said was {i vizykla} and I thought he was speaking Klingon - the last syllable was klah, and I wasn't expecting {i}, and hands up everyone who doesn't know the rafsi for {vi}.

So it looks like the comment has morphed over the years. Nick, any recollection?

Nope, although it sounds like the kind of thing I'd do. I remember it being dark, and I'm pretty sure that's all the Lojban I uttered...
